Press Interview
Yesterday, the Neue Luzerner Zeitung published a press report about me in their print edition. I think it’s not a bad read - you can get it here.

Well, I guess I didn’t take things serious enough…
Considering my big gap in the time trial yesterday I should probably have won, but Patrik Merk beat me in the final. In hindsight you are always smarter, but I expected him to go long - he went short instead, running a smaller gear than I did.
However, with the three month training break I had and with my injured shoulder I should probably be happy still - well done Patrik!

Due to a broken collarbone I only had roughly 5 weeks of training before the Swiss Track Champs, but still I managed to post the fastest time in the 200m time trial!!
I’m very happy with the placing - it’s just a bit unfortunate the weather has been so nasty. Cold (14 degrees) and very gusty winds. My winning time was 10.9sec, Patrik Merk and Cedric Stoller followed with high 11.2’s. I estimate you could probably shave off 0.2-0.3 from those times under normal conditions.
The first day tournament went all fine, got through the rounds without hiccups. Gonna meet Patrik Merk in the final - again!

During the Animationmentor graduation in San Francisco i was one of the students interviewed by a reporter from the German news magazine Stern. you can read the full article online here.

Phew - busy times!
After flying back from the Track Cycling World Cup in Los Angeles, getting hit by the flu and some nice ear infection (hooray for antibiotics), plus needing to move into a new appartment (the ceiling in my old one was starting to come down after the last winter storm [no joke!]), I finally had some time to upload my photos from the AM Graduation in San Francisco.
I had such a blast - and so did everyone else. What a great experience to meet all those inspirational and creative people (students and mentors) for the first time in person, face to face! You guys rock.
I’m sorry I haven’t kept up for the last week, but I will correct my non-doings asap.
Without further ado: here are the Pics!
It’s on: November 17th i will be racing my first track race since 2000. And it’s not for the faint of heart either: During the Geneva Three Day Races there will be a professional night with a threeway sprints battle between Switzerland, France and Italy. =)
