I’ve been working with Joachim Schultz during the (short) preparation for the Swiss nationals and have been very pleased with his functional and stability based training concepts.
We’re planning to work together more intensively in the future. Check out his services here.
Yesterday, the Neue Luzerner Zeitung published a press report about me in their print edition. I think it’s not a bad read - you can get it here.
Well, I guess I didn’t take things serious enough…
Considering my big gap in the time trial yesterday I should probably have won, but Patrik Merk beat me in the final. In hindsight you are always smarter, but I expected him to go long - he went short instead, running a smaller gear than I did.
However, with the three month training break I had and with my injured shoulder I should probably be happy still - well done Patrik!

Due to a broken collarbone I only had roughly 5 weeks of training before the Swiss Track Champs, but still I managed to post the fastest time in the 200m time trial!!
I’m very happy with the placing - it’s just a bit unfortunate the weather has been so nasty. Cold (14 degrees) and very gusty winds. My winning time was 10.9sec, Patrik Merk and Cedric Stoller followed with high 11.2’s. I estimate you could probably shave off 0.2-0.3 from those times under normal conditions.
The first day tournament went all fine, got through the rounds without hiccups. Gonna meet Patrik Merk in the final - again!

My site has been flooded with over 16000 spam comments over the last 3 weeks - of which 1467 landed on the site despite Akismet trying to weed them out beforehand.
Unfortunately, the Wordpress UI isn’t quite up to the task of handling this kind of amount, so in a bold move I had to wipe the whole comment database. However, things should run smoother from now on with Spam Karma 2 installed.
Sorry for the lost comments… Oh, and you have to look elsewhere for ringtones, Viagra and various other ‘goodies’. ![]()

During the Animationmentor graduation in San Francisco i was one of the students interviewed by a reporter from the German news magazine Stern. you can read the full article online here.

Phew - busy times!
After flying back from the Track Cycling World Cup in Los Angeles, getting hit by the flu and some nice ear infection (hooray for antibiotics), plus needing to move into a new appartment (the ceiling in my old one was starting to come down after the last winter storm [no joke!]), I finally had some time to upload my photos from the AM Graduation in San Francisco.
I had such a blast - and so did everyone else. What a great experience to meet all those inspirational and creative people (students and mentors) for the first time in person, face to face! You guys rock.
I’m sorry I haven’t kept up for the last week, but I will correct my non-doings asap.
Without further ado: here are the Pics!
Korean Artist Hyungkoo Lee, who once designed a helmet who could visually distort and alter facial features of the person wearing it, created in his new exhibition a collection of fictional, but eerily real looking skeletons of famous cartoon characters. How would Bugs Bunny look like if one of his ridiculous mishaps actually had some effect on him? Stunning.

See more at the Arario Art Gallery.
Well, it’s the sixties - and they apparently didn’t know much about production value back then, but what is up with this downright CREEPY clown??
(Not like Ronald McDonald isn’t disturbing today, but at least you can leave your kids with him without having to fear them being molested, sold into slavery or ending up as ingredient for some booming new fast food chain…
